Coffee art

Miguel Cardona has decided that his morning coffee needs to have a special receptacle.  So he has been drawing his own designs on the sides of paper cups.  All of his work has to be done freehand since the cup has a curve and Miguel enjoys drawing characters from his childhood and current trends.

So my first question has to be, are you impressed by this?  What intrigues you about his canvas choice?  Do you think this is a creative way to showcase artwork?  Does this mean that you can create art anywhere?

Also if you would like to buy one of his works of art they are for sale for $20 with all proceeds going to Project Night Night which is a children's homeless blanket and toy organization.  Do you think $20 is a reasonable price or should he charge more?

  2. This is so cool. This is a material that is readily available. These drawings would take a lot of patience to do.

  3. I always thought it would be kind of hard to create drawings using a coffee cup. I know I would never do this because I hate coffee.

  9. I think this is really cool. I think he might have discovered this type of canvas because he was bored? Maybe he was drinking coffee at some place and finished it and drew some designs on it. Then he decided that this was his new art.

  24. I mean I get that people like there coffe and all... but this is stupid and pointless. Its just drawing drawing on cups instead of paper. But if somebody really thinks it makes themselves and their cups look cool then i guess let them be them.
